Boston Conservatory BoCoCelli
BoCoCelli, is an octet of extraordinary cellists from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, directed by Professor Rhonda Rider. They have performed at the Kennedy Center, Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), on the Boston Celebrity Series and recorded for SiriusXM (Washington D.C.) and Power Station/BerkleeNY, a New York recording studio celebrated for sessions with such artists as Bruce Springsteen, Herbie Hancock, Bob Dylan and Madonna.
This March they will present a concert of contemporary music including Eric Whitacre’s sublime “Sleep” and Astor Piazzolla’s haunting “Oblivion”. Featured on the program are the premieres of two innovative and experimental works by Native American composers Sage Bond and Michael Begay, as well as works by Terry Riley and Brazilian composer Dimitri Cervo.
