Chrononhotonthologos is a world-premiere opera by Andy Vores, the Conservatory's associate dean of academic planning and curriculum.
Adapted from the 1734 satirical play by Henry Carey, Chrononhotonthologos is an irreverent comedy that mocks the high-blown style of operatic revenge tragedies and attacks the amorality and depravity of the rich, privileged, and powerful people of its time.
Chrononhotonthologos features Guerilla Opera’s core performers with additional ancillary roles and an instrumental “satellite” ensemble culled from Boston Conservatory’s student body. Chrononhotonthologos is sung in English and is approximately 75 minutes in duration.
