A collaborative seminar with the Boston Wagner Society, Berklee College of Music, and Boston Conservatory at Berklee, in conjunction with the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Act 2 of Tristan und Isolde and the Siegfried Idyll. This special evening will feature:
  • Singers’ roundtable discussion featuring Camilla Nylund, soprano (Isolde); Andrew Rees, tenor (Melot); David Kravitz, baritone (Kurwenal); Georg Zeppenfeld, bass (King Mark);  moderated by WGBH host Ron Della Chiesa
  • Presentation by Met Opera Radio producer and host William Berger, “Bawdy and Courtly Romance: The Entwined Medieval Roots of Tristan und Isolde"
  • Presentation by stage director William Fregosi, “Tristan und Isolde: From Realism to Regie Theater”
  • Presentation by composer, pianist, conductor, and coach Jeffrey Brody, “Tristan und Isolde: Harmony, Form, and Orchestration Revolution”
