Kunkemueller Artist-in-Residence Frederica von Stade has championed American art song and American art song composers in her recital and concert work throughout her long career. In these sessions she will work one-on-one with our young artists on art songs by living American composers.
Von Stade is the Kunkemueller Artist in Residence at Boston Conservatory at Berklee this fall. She will be on campus from October 30–November 1, and will teach master classes, work with the cast of Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking, and coach American art song in open one-on-one sessions. She will also hold a Q&A with students from Boston Conservatory's composition and voice programs on musical collaboration with living composers.
